I’ve been interested in the
work of Morandi for quite some time. This interest deepened after seeing a
beautiful solo exhibition in Brussels a few years back. His paintings are about
painting and that gives them their special quality. So, when I recently wanted
to paint a still life I decided it had to be a tribute to his work.
