There is so much chaos in the moons of Morris Graves (1910-2001). Their frosty white light scattering everywhere, surrounding the animals in his world on paper. At first it seems overwhelming, but when you accept the chaos for what it is, it opens up a great quietness. Just like white noise helps with meditation, Graves' moonlight make for beautiful, delicate paintings of contemplation.
