For three years I have been collecting images of the
final phase of my mother’s life, who died on 28-02-2004, at 95 years of age. The
photos show the deterioration, the struggle, and the submission. They were
printed using the gum bichromate method; this technique suitably expresses the
vulnerability, the brittleness of old age. A catalogue of this project has been
published.
