Reinoud van Vught / Hercules Segers

Hercules Segers
The two trees
ca. 1615 - ca. 1630

Sometimes an artwork grabs you by the throat.
Why? It’s not because of the beauty, the subject or the content.
But there is something in it you would like to have done yourself.
It’s ahead of your time.
It is a comforting thought that a 400 years old print can achieve this.

  1. it would also be a comforting thought that society/humanity as a whole would be in tune/sync with art
